Kerala State Climate Change Adaptation Mission (KSCCAM)
The Kerala State Climate Change Adaptation Mission complements the Government's efforts to increase climate resilience and move toward carbon neutrality. Kerala faces intensified climate disasters due to rising greenhouse gas emissions and weather pattern alterations
Recognizing the vulnerability associated with climate change issues, the Government of Kerala has set ambitious targets to transition towards a low-carbon economy. KSCCAM acts as a regulatory and enabling platform for clean energy technologies, carbon-deficit projects, green credit programs (afforestation, blue carbon, mangrove restoration), and critical energy transition minerals.
